XY/ORAS Old Amber Finding Guide
Overview
To RNG Manipulate in XY & ORAS, you need Old Amber. This is a fossil that revives Aerodactyl.
You need 2 to do any manip, and everytime you successfully perform a manip, one is permanently revived.
This guide will cover how to farm efficiently for Old Amber so you have plenty to use for manips!

The Guide
Get Fossils
XY and ORAS have different locations for fossils, and methods of farming. Click the tab for which game you're playing to see its methodology!
In XY fossils are obtained at the end of Glittering Cave, which is found past the Rhydon Riding section in Ambrette town. Bring a Pokemon that knows rock smash with you.
In the final room, there will be tons of breakable rocks. Each time you break a rock, there's a chance you get a fossil. So break all of the rocks in the room. If you get no old ambers, leave the room and re-enter, all the rocks will respawn. Repeat until you have at least 2. This can take a while! So put on a youtube video or movie and grind away.
Each manip you do will require you use 2 old ambers, but only permanently consumes 1. So, the amount of old ambers you need depends on how many manips you intend to do!
To farm Fossils in ORAS, you first need the Eon Flute unlocked, so you can Soar on the Latios/Latias across Hoenn.
When you're in the sky, random "Mirage Spots" or "Mirage Islands" appear. On some of them, you can find Smashable Rocks that can contain fossils.
You can find them on the Mirage Island south of Pacifidlog town
As well as the Mirage island south of Route 134.
These may not spawn every day, so if one of them is there, make sure to get as many fossils as you can.

I tend to farm as much as I can while watching a movie or something.
